Because my house talks to me.
She’s actually quite chatty. She’s encouraged me to unleash my creativity, revealed how to increase my financial flow, and identified what was getting in the way of my relationships. One time in a very dramatic way, she told me that I had a dysfunctional relationship with my emotions. (Hang around a bit, and I’ll share that story!)
Your house talks to you too. You simply need to learn her language.

Carl Jung said everything in our subconscious seeks an external manifestation.
Given how integral our homes are in our day-to-day lives, it makes sense that this external manifestation will show up in our homes. How we arrange our furniture, what colors we paint our walls, and what items we shove to the back of our closets are all clues as to what’s going on in our subconscious minds.
It’s been said that 90% of what drives our behaviors comes from our subconscious minds. Let that sink in. 90%! This is why using our homes is one of the more powerful (and accessible) ways to get a glimpse into our subconscious.

I was born Dorena Kohrs, but around town I’m better known as the Space Doula®. For over two decades, I’ve been exploring the fusion of feng shui, space clearing and intuitive coaching to shift momentum in people’s lives. My work has been featured in Better Homes & Garden, Yoga Journal and on podcasts including Hay House Radio and Unity Radio. I’ve spoken about how to use your home to shift the energy in your life on numerous stages including the 2019 Linn Academy Ancient Secrets Present Alchemy International Conference and the 2021 Annual Conference of the National Association of Productivity and Organizing Professionals. I’m a certified practitioner of feng shui and space clearing, a certified clutter clearing coach in the Linn Method and a Soul Coaching® Practitioner.

I’m obsessed with patterns. They’re actually the foundation of my work. When I can show you how the patterns in your life are showing up in your home, it’s an opportunity to use your home to highlight the patterns that support you and change the ones that don’t.
