As I sat down to write you this week, I was sitting in a sea of metaphors.
Running on a hamster wheel.
Trying to read the label from inside the bottle.
Spinning tires in a muddy ditch.
None of them seemed to land. But, I suspect you don’t need a metaphor to understand that feeling of being stuck. Of wanting something to be different, but unable to create the momentum to get out of the perpetual spin.
Remember what Albert Einstein said…
“You cannot solve a problem with the same mind that created it.”
This is where your home comes in.
Whether you’re tired of worrying about money or you simply want to get out of the habit of doom scrolling, then the energy in your home needs to change.
You can’t sit in the same energy you’ve been in for years (decades?), and expect to feel different.
So here’s my challenge for you…
Make 27 changes in your home.
Why 27?
Because 27 in numerology has the energetic vibration of 9. And 9 has the energy of completion and positive change.
You don’t need to make big changes. Small changes will create a big impact.
HERE ARE SOME IDEAS TO GET YOU STARTED:
Mix things up and opt to come in through the front door, rather than the back door. Or vica versa.
Be super edgy and sleep on the opposite side of the bed.
Add a bouquet of flowers to your kitchen counter.
Move the candle whose home has always been on the left side of the coffee table to the right side.
Typically eat in front of the tv? Move to the dining room. Maybe even light a candle.
Rearrange the pillows on the couch. Or perhaps swing by Target and grab a new one or two.
Do an artwork swap and move pieces to different spaces in your home.
Give your picture frames a facelift with some updated photographs. (Pro hint: Select pictures of joyful times. You know…when you were smiling way before the shutter closed.)
Have a backwards day and eat breakfast for dinner. Or better yet, dessert before dinner. :)
Upgrade the tired beige towels in the bathroom in exchange for the bold red ones you’ve been eyeing.
Make some extra space in your closet by letting go of the shoes that pinch your toes.
Give your welcome mat a good shake.
Rearrange the furniture. Particularly good if your bed or favorite chair isn’t in the command position. (If you missed last week’s article on the importance of command position, you can find it HERE.)
Place a bowl of fresh fruit on your kitchen table. 8 oranges is always fun, because in feng shui your kitchen represents abundance, oranges represent abundance, and the number 8 represents abundance. That’s a lot of positive juju!
Speaking of numerology, the number 5 is associated with the energy of change. And since we’re talking about shaking things up, why not consider how you can bring the energy of 5 into your home. Examples: 5 pillows on your couch. 5 picture frames grouped together. 5 rose blooms in a vase.
NOW OVER TO YOU:
What’s one thing you’re going to change in your home to start the energy moving?
I’d love to hear!
xoxo

"Trying to read the label from inside the bottle." That is a GREAT metaphor. Love the numerology infusion, too! Love this whole thing. Thanks for the tips!
