My two most important rituals are quitting work at 4pm every day without fail so I have an hour to walk my dog before dinner. Non-negotiable.
And after dinner when I'm done for the evening I light a tealight. I've been lighting the tealight for over 4 years now and it is a signal to my soul that the day has peacefully finished ✨️ 😊
It's always fun to read from you, I have a teddy bear from Germany that I always tell him when I leave take care of the house in German. Feeling overwhelmed because I'm in a bigger house and how to keep it orderly and clean. I will work on a ritual to mop and broom every day and vacuum everyday. And then we'll figure other things out thank you doreena
One idea....if mopping, sweeping, and vacuuming feel like too much everyday, then simply pick just one of those. Or just one room in the house to sweep/mop or vacuum.
Or another way to think about it...how much time do you have available every day (that feels good and manageable) to devote to a routine/ritual, and then pick the routine that fits that time frame.
Does that make sense? I don't want you to set yourself up for more overwhelm.
Thank you so much for the kind words. I super appreciate you!
And, I can't wait to hear about the changes that are afoot. Reach out when the time is right to do a bit of Space Doula-ing. It sounds like a few house changes might be in order to align with your big life changes.
I will always support "buy the chocolates!" I relish in rituals. I never thought about why, but you pointed out it can make things feel stable and safe, now I love my little routines even more!

I love those! And might adopt your tea light idea. That’s brilliant!
Candles are so cozy. I'm sure you've mentioned them more than once and I agree!

Love the list, and the validation that I do many of these things organically. I love my little routines 😃
Yay! You are so tapped in that I'm not surprised at all that you already do many of the things organically. xoxo
I absolutely adore how you think through things and explain that to your readers ❤️🙏🫶
Big changes afoot for me here . Hoping you’re well and hoping to work with you again in the not too distant future.
Thank you so much for the kind words. I super appreciate you!

Buying the chocolates is always the right answer :)
And I LOVE that you love your routines even more now. They do bring such comfort.
