I really want to work on our pile of clutter. It’s literally everywhere. And OMG I’m daunted by this idea that there should be space around furniture. We have two armchairs that are constantly either piled with stuff or surrounded by stuff and you can’t even sit in them.

One step at a time. Pick one pile to work on. And focus on just that one. Don't worry about space around the furniture just yet. Work on the piles one at a time :)

Okay, I got chills when you described the location of your mom's apartment. I could feel her being bypassed 😣

What an amazing Feng Shui sleuth you are Dorena!

Wow. I’m sorry you’re navigating these challenges with your mom‘s care providers. And I trust you’re gonna find ways to work it out. And I love these tips! I’m at my sister’s right now and there’s a long open hallway between the front and the back doors. I’m going to share these suggestions with my 17-year old nephew (it’s just the two of us this next week… My sister is out of the country for a bit) and see what ideas he has for putting up speed bumps! Thank you for your generous share. 🙏✨💛

I have tried to make sure my new front door has lots of thoughtful interruptions now from front to back - it was just a little too easy for all that goodness to escape. What a lovely article! 🩵

We've had issues with mirrors too. Specifically those large wall-size mirrors for seeing your whole outfit. We removed the one from our bedroom (there wasn't wall space that wasn't facing the bed) and made sure it was in a side spot instead of an end spot in the main part of the house. It helped a lot.

Mirrors in bedrooms can be particularly tricky when it comes to getting a good night's rest. Glad you found a new spot for yours!

This is great! My entry hall has a large open space on the right that pulls energy into the family room/kitchen (all fairly open). To balance that, I just placed a beautiful bouquet of magnolias straight back into the center of the home (library) to invite the energy in from the entry hall. It really catches the eye when you walk in and kind of “pulls you in” to the center of house. Much more balanced- ahh. 😌
