I just moved to a house and the bedrooms in the basement I cannot use as bedrooms right now so I'm using an upstairs space that is open. I put a room divider to make it more cozier and planning on putting curtains in front of where they're supposed to be a door. There's a lot of light electricity coming in through my windows what would you recommend? I feel uneasy yet it's the only option I have for a bedroom
The room divider is a great idea as are curtains that you can open during the day and close at night. Maybe even consider blackout shades to block any light coming in at night.
Question: I usually sit in the right hand corner of my living room (using your first floorplan example). I have a wall behind me but the door is more of a slit than in full view because I'm sitting along that same wall. Is that less than ideal? Is there a feng shui remedy for this other than moving the furniture (it doesn't work well with the layout of the living room).
Hi! So often “the ideal” isn’t practical. Are you sitting on a couch where you could slide down and have a greater peripheral view of the door? Or, are you able to place a mirror in front of you that would allow you to see the door?
